Looks like the Indiana Fever finally broke that three-game losing streak. Fans are hyped about this win, and trust me, the Fever needed this one. Another loss could have been devastating, but everyone stepped up. We’ll get into the fourth quarter drama in a minute, but overall, this was a solid team win.

Shout out to Ary McDonald. She fit right into the system and made a big impact. Some big changes are needed on this roster, though. You all know how I feel about Brie Turner. I think it might be time for her to go. Sydney Coulson isn’t looking too hot either. But Ary McDonald, she came in and immediately made a difference.

She didn’t score a ton, but what she did was crucial. We needed someone to step in and fill the void, and she did just that. Aaliyah Boston was on fire as usual. But let’s talk about the fourth quarter. Stephanie White almost blew a 16-point lead by changing up the lineup and the offense. That could have cost the game, but I’m still happy with the win.

Now, Lexi Hull has really stepped up. She’s averaging 12 points per game and shooting 63% from three as a starter. With Caitlyn Clark out, Lexi has really been filling that gap, grabbing rebounds and facilitating. The team needs a system to replace Caitlyn. Even if it’s multiple players doing different things, Lexi has been doing just that.

Ari McDonald also made her debut and wow, what a performance. She led both teams in assists and steals. I told you she’s legit. She’s the real deal and we need to keep her for the rest of the season. In her debut, she averaged 7.5 points, five assists, and three steals. Definitely a keeper. There was a little drama with an offensive foul on Caitlyn Clark and Aaliyah Boston, but let’s not dwell on that.

Kelsey Mitchell had a solid 24 points, but I didn’t like her taking big shots late in the fourth when they should have been controlling the clock. She should have passed the ball and managed the clock better. We also had some shot clock violations which were frustrating. That’s on the offense Stephanie White is running.

We can’t keep getting those mistakes late in games. As for Lexi Hull, she finished with 14 points after being scoreless at halftime. She stepped up big time in the second half and it was great to see. She talked about how the team broke the game into fiveminute parts and just focused on winning each one. It worked.

Ary McDonald was huge on defense and Lexi praised her for drawing offensive fouls and pushing the pace. It’s clear that Ari brought the energy this team needed with all the challenges this season. This win was huge for the Fever. It felt good and it showed that they can battle through adversity. The biggest question moving forward is what happens with Brie Turner.

Fans are already reacting to Ary McDonald’s performance and the buzz is real. Who knows? The fever might even wave Caitlyn Clark after being impressed by Airite. But let’s not forget the fourth quarter hiccup. We almost lost the game after being up by double digits. And I still don’t get why Stephanie White switched up the game plan.
