My husband secretly took my bank card to take his mistress on a trip, but unexpectedly, at the airport, customs made a statement that left both of us stunned…
Arjun and I have been married for 7 years and have a young son. Since we got married, I’ve always thought of my husband as a kind, hardworking, and responsible man. Arjun works for a company in Mumbai, and I run an online handicraft business, earning a stable income. Every month, we usually contribute to a joint account for family expenses. But because my business is doing well, I earn more than my husband, and the bank card is mostly in my name. Arjun knows the password, but I never thought he would take advantage of that.

Lately, Arjun has changed noticeably. He often comes home late from his office in Nariman Point, always making excuses about working overtime or meeting clients. He clings to his phone, not letting anyone touch it. My suspicions grew, but I had no proof.

One evening, while Arjun was taking a shower, his phone, which was on the table, vibrated. I accidentally saw a text message: “Remember to get your passport ready, we’re going to Goa for a vacation tomorrow, I’m so excited!” My heart sank. Trembling, I continued the conversation and discovered that Arjun had booked plane tickets and a luxurious hotel, all paid for with… my bank card.

I laughed bitterly. It turned out that all my hard work and savings for the family were being secretly used by my husband to indulge another woman.

That night, I tossed and turned in our apartment in Pune, thinking about how to expose the truth. I didn’t want to make a fuss at home for fear of affecting my son, but I also couldn’t let him and the other woman squander the money I had earned. The next morning, Arjun woke up early, dressed impeccably in his business suit, and said to me:

“I have to go on a business trip to Delhi for a few days, so I probably won’t be able to contact you much. Please take care of the children.”

I forced a smile and simply mumbled “okay.” Meanwhile, I quietly called a friend who worked at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Airport, asking them to check Arjun’s flight information. Soon, my friend reported back: Arjun had booked a flight to Goa, departing that afternoon.

I decided to go to the airport. I didn’t intend to cause a scene, but… I wanted to see it with my own eyes, so he couldn’t deny it anymore.

As expected, I saw Arjun and a young woman, dressed in the trendy style of young Indian women, hand in hand, appearing in the check-in area. They were laughing and talking happily, looking like a happy couple. I clenched my fists, trying to control my anger.

After they had completed the procedures and were about to go through customs, a staff member unexpectedly stopped them. The staff member’s voice was cold:
– Excuse me, the credit card used to book the tickets shows signs of fraud. We need to invite you both to our office for verification.

Arjun was stunned, his face drained of color. The girl accompanying him turned to him in panic and asked:

– What’s wrong, sir? Didn’t you say everything was fine?

I stepped forward and calmly said:

– That card is mine. He secretly took it to take her on this trip.

The entire area immediately erupted in commotion. People looked at me, then at Arjun and the girl, with eyes full of contempt.

Arjun stammered:

– I… I only intended to take her on a trip, I didn’t mean anything else…

I gave a sarcastic smile:

– You didn’t mean anything else, yet you dared to take your wife and children’s hard-earned money and enjoy it with your mistress? That statement silenced him. The customs officer sternly demanded that Arjun sign a statement, and informed him that the matter could be prosecuted under Indian law for the unauthorized use of a bank account.

Seeing the situation getting complicated, the other woman angrily rebuked him:

“You said you were so rich, but it turns out it was just your wife’s money! You tricked me!”

Then she left, leaving Arjun sitting there with a humiliated expression.

I looked at my husband, my heart aching but also filled with determination. I said briefly:

“From now on, we have nothing to do with each other anymore. You deal with the consequences yourself.”

After saying that, I turned and walked away, leaving behind his desperate, pleading gaze.

That day, I felt sad, but also relieved. I realized that a husband who had betrayed my trust, who had dared to use his wife’s bank card to support an extramarital affair, was not worthy of being held onto.

I went home and hugged my son. My innocent child didn’t understand what was happening, only laughing innocently. I told myself that from now on I would live more strongly, dedicating all my love to my child.

Life may take away a terrible husband, but I will never lose my self-respect and faith in myself.
