Flight attendant missing for 15 years, her suitcase suddenly appears on the airport conveyor belt! When security opens, she shouts: “Call the police now!”
That day, Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport was busier than ever. Passengers were coming and going, loudspeakers were blaring, and the line of people on the baggage conveyor belt was like a never-ending river.
I am Arjun, an airport security officer, and my night shift was normal — until the suitcase appeared on conveyor belt number 7.
Before that, we had received a notification: there was an unattended suitcase left in the security area. It happened often, but this suitcase… had the logo of the airline ‘SpiceJet’, printed in red letters: “Priya Sharma – Flight Attendant”.
The name immediately silenced the entire security room. Priya Sharma… the flight attendant who went missing 15 years ago. She was once the face of the Indian aviation industry, always appearing in commercials, TV shows, loved by everyone. But on a fateful night in 2010, she completely disappeared. No trace has been found.
Some of my colleagues also said that, when the disappearance happened, the police suspected a kidnapping crime related to an international human trafficking network, but all clues were lost. Priya Sharma’s family was almost completely devastated.
And now, 15 years later, her suitcase appeared right before our eyes.
My colleague, Vikram, and I walked carefully. I picked up the suitcase, feeling the unusual weight. The surface of the suitcase was cold, without a trace of time, almost new. The luggage tag was still fresh.
— “Carefully, open it slowly,” Vikram said.
I nodded, using a knife to slowly open the zipper. Inside was… a letter, an old wallet, an expired passport… and a SpiceJet employee card.
Vikram leaned forward and read the note:
“If you find me, don’t panic. Call 100 immediately. I’ve been locked up for too long… and it’s time to go back.”
I felt goosebumps rising all over my body. Even Vikram was silent, his face pale.
We immediately called our superiors. The police were dispatched. Within minutes, patrol cars and special forces officers were present, blocking off the conveyor belt area.
At this point, a crowd of passengers began to gather, looking curiously. Many recognized Priya Sharma’s name and whispered:
— “She’s been missing for more than ten years!”
— “Impossible! This suitcase… how did it get here?”
A chaotic scene began.
The police chief personally opened the suitcase, looking at each item. Inside, there was a terrifying item: an airport maintenance worker ID card, which Priya Sharma never owned in real life. And especially, there was a USB.
The security chief carefully plugged the USB into the computer, the screen flashed with a series of data: pictures, videos, and Priya’s handwritten notes.
A video was projected, Priya Sharma’s image appeared in a dark room, looking straight into the camera:
“If you are seeing this, it means I have escaped from hell. They want to hide me… but the truth will be revealed.”
Each line, each sentence, made everyone’s spine shiver. Priya looked healthy, but her eyes seemed tired, her gaze determined.
We asked her where she had been for the past 15 years, but the video only had one line left:
“I can’t say it. But now, I’m safe. Let 100 take care of the rest.”
The police immediately called the hotline and notified the special investigation force. All the clues related to the old disappearance began to be traced: case files, witness statements, phone data, old camera images.
Meanwhile, we carefully checked the suitcase. In addition to personal belongings, there was an old watch, inside of which was a secret slot containing a small box.
Vikram carefully opened the box. Inside was another letter, written in red ink:
“If anyone finds this box, I hope they understand: everything that happened to me was not just missing. I was deceived, locked up, but never gave up. Now it is time for justice to be served. Call 100, they will know what to do.”
A shiver ran through everyone. We immediately sealed off the scene and called the criminal investigation force to investigate.
The head of airport security shouted:
— “Call 100 now! This is an extremely serious incident!”
While waiting for the police to arrive, we told each other to check the cameras around. The footage from 15 years ago, the camera was broken, nothing was clear. But the new camera, installed later, recorded the image of a black car stopping near the airport early in the morning, someone leaving, leaving a suitcase. Tiny but important clues.
After a few hours, the special police and the National Investigation Agency (NIA) were present, guarding the scene, taking over the suitcase. They questioned me, Vikram, and the witnesses. Everyone was shaking, never having experienced such a situation before.
Everything was so tense that no one could say a word. All passengers were held in the waiting area, just to ensure safety.
A senior officer came out, looked at the suitcase:
— “This is one of the most mysterious disappearances in the history of Indian aviation. We never thought we would find any trace after 15 years.”
The story spread throughout the airport. The press began to arrive, filming, interviewing witnesses. People were talking excitedly.
Meanwhile, we looked at each other, eyes full of shock. 15 years, such a long time… and just a suitcase, a card, had brought up all the mysteries.
A few days later, the official information was announced: Priya Sharma was indeed alive. She was captured by a criminal group, locked up abroad, serving criminal purposes. For 15 years, she could not contact, but secretly tried to escape. The suitcase was the first message to announce her return.
Priya Sharma’s family in Delhi, her colleagues, and all those who loved her burst into happiness. People could not believe that after all these years, she was still safe, still strong.
The police continued to investigate, searching for those who had captured Priya. The clues from the suitcase, video, and USB will be important evidence, ensuring that justice will be served.
Vikram, I, and all the airport staff looked at each other, breathing a sigh of relief. A seemingly ordinary event had turned into a classic suspense story, a mystery that seemed impossible to solve… now there was hope for a happy ending.
The suitcase, small but powerful, had caused a stir in the airport, and most importantly — Priya Sharma was back!
And the words that rang out when the suitcase was opened:
— “Call 100 now!”
…was not just an order, but a turning point that saved the life of a person missing for 15 years, opening a new chapter for justice and truth.
