Caitlin Clark’s Brother Confusingly Deletes Post After Fever Star Injury/hi

Caitlin Clark’s brother deleted a post he made after his sister suffered an apparent injury in the Indiana Fever game on Tuesday, but social media kept the receipts.

The Fever superstar left the court in pain, holding her right leg with 39 seconds left in their 85-77 win over the Connecticut Sun at TD Garden. She did not return for the final few seconds of the game.

Clark has missed nine regular-season games plus Indiana’s historic WNBA Commissioner’s Cup final with two separate muscle injuries in her left leg. She favored her right leg as she exited the game on Tuesday, meaning it could be yet another new injury

The WNBA’s condensed schedule and overcompensation for Clark’s other injuries are possible factors for the new issue, but Colin Clark had other ideas about who to blame.

“Make no mistake, this is on the reffing,” Clark’s little brother posted at 10:11 p.m. ET, shortly after the injury occurred.

The post stayed up for at least 33 minutes before being deleted, but several screenshots quickly circulated.

Colin was a basketball and track athlete at Dowling Catholic High School in West Des Moines, Iowa — the same school where his sister became a McDonald’s All-American — before graduating in 2023

He was not the only fan to blame the injury on the WNBA officials for allowing more physical defense on Clark than her contemporaries. However, it is worth noting that Clark’s non-contact injury in the final moments of the game was not a result of a foul.

Clark got into a heated exchange with official Michael Price during the game, telling him to “grow up” and having to be held back by Indiana assistant coach Briann January.

The Fever play again on Wednesday against the New York Liberty, but head coach Stephanie White did not offer an update on her status after the win over the Sun.

Clark is also scheduled to play a big role in WNBA All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis as a participant in the 3-Point Contest and captain of “Team Clark” in the All-Star Game
