Caitlin Clark and LeBron James finally meet and fans say the same thing

Following the Los Angeles Lakers and Indiana Pacers recent NBA game, it has been reported LeBron James and Caitlin Clark, the two biggest names in men’s and women’s basketball, met face-to-face

Following the Los Angeles Lakers 120-119 over the Indiana Pacers recently, LeBron James, the face of the NBA, and Caitlin Clark, the face of the WNBA, met face-to-face.

The game came down to the final seconds, with James scoring a game-winning basket as time expired against the Pacers. Clark, who was drafted last year first overall by the Indiana Fever, was in attendance to watch James take on the Pacers.

And it has been reported the pair shared their first meeting face-to-face outside of the Lakers’ locker room following the game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

In a Substack post for Fieldhouse Files, Indiana Pacers and Fever beat writer Scott Agness wrote: “Caitlin Clark was in a suite for the game with her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery. After the game, [LeBron] James met with Clark — also a Nike athlete — for the first time outside of the Lakers’ locker room, per league sources.”

“FINALLY,” wrote one fan on X in response to the news of the meeting between the two stars. Another said: “I need the pictures.” A third commented: “My brand!! Where’s the pics?? How’s she going to meet Bron and not take pics!!”

The pair have both spoken glowingly about one another in recent times, with Clark having only just embarked upon her professional career while James battles father time to continue to be a force in the NBA at the age of 40.

And James has been reciprocal in his praise of Clark, who has almost single-handedly ushered in a new era of support for the WNBA since she was drafted by the Fever last year.

Back in September, James told Esquire: “I have a great deal of respect for Caitlin Clark, because I know exactly what it means to be drafted, be the face of a franchise, and also get the scrutiny from a lot of people that don’t believe you’re ready for the next jump, don’t believe you’re ready for the big leagues, and just don’t think that you belong.

“And so, me watching Caitlin and seeing what she’s doing, I’ve been in support of her since day one, because I remember myself going through that, and she has my support 100 percent.

He added: “She’s a transcendent player. And obviously we all saw that at Iowa, and I knew that it would translate to the big leagues. And she’s an unbelievable talent. It’s great to watch.
