‘Traitors’ Star Apologizes for Comments About Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce
Traitors season 3 star Wes Bergmann issued an apology after he spoke out about Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s relationship.
“Omg y’all I’m so sorry and confused,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, March 4.
“Everything being reported on is none of my business. My contribution to this was taken out of context and said in what I thought was relative obscurity, but it obviously wasn’t.”
“He moved in November, that’s all I know. I told Michele, who is a giant fan, ‘hey this is serious.’ She didn’t believe me for six months. That was the intention of the comment. Again it was taken out of context but I shouldn’t be talking about it anyway. So consider this the last time I do,” he added.
Bergmann’s apology comes after he appeared on a February episode of The Social Game podcast. During his interview, the MTV star said that he knew that Kelce and Swift were an item long before the public had any idea.
“I was like the first person to know about any of this stuff,” Bergmann said on the podcast, adding that no one believed him at the time. The reality television star also made it clear that Kelce moved into his neighborhood in November 2023. On the podcast, Bergmann said that he’d known about Kelce and Swift long before she popped up at Arrowhead Stadium on September 15, 2023, to watch her guy on the field.
Some fans took this to mean that Kelce and Swift were dating longer than they’ve led on. However, Bergmann insisted that he didn’t say what the media thinks he said and he certainly wasn’t calling Kelce and Swift liars.
The celebrity duo have maintained that they started talking over the summer in 2023. After failing to get Swift to talk to him at her concert in Kansas City, he extended an invitation for her to watch him play.
“I threw the ball in her court. I told her, I’ve seen you rock a stage in Arrowhead and you might have to come see me rock the stage at Arrowhead. We’ll see what happens in the near future,” Kelce said on The Pat McAfee Show in September 2023.
According to Bergmann’s account, Kelce and Swift’s relationship timeline still stands.
