Sue Bird is hilarious.
Megan Rapinoe and Sue decided to get in on the fun by reenacting the Coldplay kiss cam incident at Tuesday night’s Seattle Storm game against the Minnesota Lynx.
But the couple added their own theatrical twist on the moment.
During a break in the WNBA game, former U.S. women’s national team star Rapinoe was shown on the scoreboard, and Storm fans gave her thunderous applause.
After Rapinoe acknowledged the crowd, the camera cut to Sue Bird, who was cuddling up to Storm mascot Doppler.
As we all saw with former Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot, both would separate to get away from the camera.
The scorned Rapinoe added to the moment by reacting to the betrayal.
Sue Bird Retired As An All-Time Great

Sue Bird is a WNBA all-time great.
The five-time Olympic gold medalist retired from the WNBA at the end of the 2022 season. In 2023, the Seattle Storm retired Sue Bird’s No. 10 jersey in an emotional ceremony.
After leading perennial college powerhouse UConn to two national titles, Bird was selected No. 1 overall by the Storm in the 2002 draft.
Bird, a legendary point guard known for her exceptional playmaking and leadership, played her entire 21-season WNBA career with the Seattle Storm before retiring after the 2022 season.
Bird retired, averaging 11.7 points and 5.6 assists per game. She led the franchise to all four of its league championships in 2004, 2010, 2018, and 2020 while earning a whopping 13 All-Star selections.
She holds franchise records in career points, assists, steals, made field goals, and made 3-pointers.
The Storm announced this year that a statue honoring Bird will be unveiled outside of Climate Pledge Arena at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 17.
