Dave Portnoy Has Words For Angel Reese After She Tried To Fight Caitlin Clark On The Court During Fever’s Win That Netted Him $400K

Dave Portnoy had some coarse words for Angel Reese after her antics during the Chicago Sky’s season-opening loss to the Indiana Fever on Saturday afternoon.

Portnoy is not very fond of Angel, but he’s become a massive Clark fan and attended the game, having bet a massive sum on the former Iowa star to have a triple-double.

Reese, whose team got blown out, has gone viral for pushing and trying to fight Clark after getting fouled and thrown to the floor in the third quarter, something which deeply annoyed Portnoy, although he made a cool $400K betting on the game.

The Barstool Sports owner took to X after the Fever won, blasting Reese for “making a joke of her existence” by going after Clark for a common foul. This time around, however, he was complimentary of her game.

“Angel Reese, who actually played okay and looked like she improved her game, made a mockery of her existence,” he said.

Dave Portnoy Also Went After The WNBA

Dave PortnoyPortnoy added that the Sky forward “got fouled, totally common foul by Caitlin Clark going for a lay-up. Falls down and then attacks her basically and makes a joke out of her existence; and why everybody hates Angel Reese.”

He also slammed the WNBA for upgrading the foul to a flagrant.

“And shame on the WNBA, upgrading this to a flagrant foul That’s a flagrant foul? It was the most common, routine foul of all time. End of the story, its a win, win, win. Fever look great, Caitlin Clark looks like she’s going to be the MVP of the league, Angel Reese, made a fool out of herself and we won by 100 and I win. So we’re back in the good mode.”

Clark scored 20 points against the Sky on Saturday, adding 10 rebounds and 10 assists, much to Dave Portnoy’s delight, given that he put $25K down on a potential triple-double.

The Fever made easy work of their opening-day opponents, winning 93-85. They will face each other again on June 7.
