Dave Portnoy goes viral for bizarre outfit as he jets in to see Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese renew WNBA rivalry
Dave Portnoy has gone viral for his bizarre outfit choice of a full Caitlin Clark jersey as he jetted to Indianapolis for the Fever’s season opener against the Chicago Sky.
Portnoy was on the East Coast for most of this week as he watched the Boston Celtics get their final win of the season against the New York Knicks from courtside at TD Garden.
Now, he is at Indiana-Chicago, where Clark will renew her WNBA rivalry with Angel Reese in front of a national television audience.
In addition, Portnoy also bet $25k on Clark having a triple-double in her season debut, with odds of +1300. If the bet hits, Portnoy would profit $350k.
Portnoy has been supremely in Clark’s corner dating back to her college days at Iowa and took things to a new level on Saturday.
Before the game, in his full get-up, Portnoy did a pizza review of a slice at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, giving it a 2.2. That review comes less than a week after he helped Manhattan-based Ceres go viral for his first score above a 9 in years.

Clark will renew her WNBA rivalry with Angel Reese in front of a national television audience
Portnoy was also seen talking in his Clark jersey to her teammate Sophie Cunningham, who missed Saturday’s season opener with an ankle injury.
Clark and Reese met four times during their rookie WNBA seasons, with the Fever victorious three times.
The duo have been linked dating back to their college days at Iowa and LSU, where they have been at the forefront in the rise in women’s basketball.
Both Clark and Reese were named WNBA All-Stars last season and helped take down Team USA during their only loss last summer before they won a gold medal at the Olympics.
Earlier in the week, Portnoy was part of the New England Patriots’ schedule reveal, helping out his favorite football team with the important announcement.
