Christina Haack Claims Ex Josh Hall Has Been ‘Wandering’ Around in Her Neighborhood: ‘Maybe It’s Intimidation’

The HGTV star’s latest revelation comes after she had a run-in with her ex at one of her favorite restaurants in February

Christina Haack is having one too many run-ins with her estranged husband Josh Hall.

The HGTV star, 41, revealed she’s seen her ex, 44, “wandering” around her neighborhood in Newport Beach, Calif., during a March 27 appearance on Jeff Lewis Live.

“When’s the last time you’ve seen your ex, Josh?” the radio host asks her, to which she responds, “Oh, does your ex ever wander around in your neighborhood?”

After Lewis responds no, Christina continues, “I’ve seen mine twice this month on my usual every day walks.” She notes that she walks the same route “every day” and has run into her ex on numerous occasions, even though he lives in Tennessee.

She adds, “He’s by himself. Walking. In my neighborhood.”

When asked if she’s texted her ex about his recent excursions back to California, she says, “No, I blocked him.”

Lewis then tries to provide an explanation as to why Josh might be popping up during her daily walks.

“I mean you guys shared that home together,” he says of Christina’s Newport Beach mansion. “Do you think maybe he’s nostalgic … reminiscent?”

“So he flies all the way from Tennessee just to walk my neighborhood and flies home?”

Later on, Christina responds to a caller who says Josh’s actions are “a really big deal” by reiterating that her ex doesn’t live in California anymore.

“Maybe it’s just intimidation,” Christina adds.

In response to Christina’s claims, a spokesperson for Josh tells PEOPLE in a statement: “Josh still has ties to Newport Beach and still visits and stays with friends in the same area he once lived. While visiting, he jogs in a familiar known path for joggers.”

“It’s no secret as he has posted it on his Instagram. Maybe that’s where she has seen him, but he’s definitely not looking for her, he’s just staying fit,” the statement concludes.

During the episode, the designer also referenced her previous run-in with Josh at one of her favorite restaurants back in February.

Detailing the encounter on her Instagram Stories at the time, Christina shared a Boomerang of her clinking glasses with her 14-year-old daughter Taylor and her Flip Off costar (and Taylor’s stepmom) Heather Rae El Moussa, 37.

 “When you’re having a relaxing GNO with @heatherraeelmoussa and Tay and 🐍 shows up at your spot,” she captioned the post at the time. On the table, menus for the Newport Beach, Calif., restaurant, Ocean 48, can be seen.

Meanwhile, Josh tagged the same restaurant in his Instagram Stories while out with friends on the same night, and captioned the photo: “Little surf and turf with this crew.”

The unexpected run-in came seven months after Christina and Josh split following nearly three years of marriage. Josh filed for divorce from Christina in July 2024 citing “irreconcilable differences.” He also requested spousal support, according to documents obtained by PEOPLE.

Since then, both exes have moved on with new partners. PEOPLE confirmed on Jan. 11 that Christina was in a new relationship with businessman Christopher Larocca. Around the same time, it was revealed that Josh was also dating someone new, model Stephanie Gabrys.
