“Stop the Car” – A Wandering Girl Blocked an Indian Businessman’s Car, He Was Unexpectedly Crying When He Learned the Truth
“Uncle, don’t go any further, you’ll die.” That sentence rang out like a knife cutting into the noisy space in the heart of Mumbai.
It was drizzling, drops of water falling on the car window, blurring the street lights and the flashing red-orange streaks ahead. The shiny black Mercedes S Class slowly glided through the dense traffic. The honking sound was like a chaotic symphony. In the car, Arjun Mehta, 35 years old, general director of the five-star Riverside Lux hotel chain, was frowning at his watch.
18:23, only 7 minutes left until the most important shareholder meeting of the year, where he would be officially announced as the new chairman of the group. A turning point that would bring his name to international status.
“Driver, there’s a traffic jam ahead, please turn to the other side.”
“No, go straight, this intersection is closer.”
Yes. But just as the car was about to turn into Link Road, there was a loud bang. The car stopped suddenly, both Arjun and the driver were startled. Someone rushed out, it was a little girl.
Through the drizzling rain glass, Arjun saw a little girl about eight years old, her clothes were soaked, old, and covered in mud, standing right in front of the car. Her messy hair stuck to her face, her eyes were panicked, her legs were shaking but she was determined not to move.
Arjun’s face darkened, he pulled the seat belt, opened the door and got out, anger rising to his head.
“What are you doing? What is this girl doing?”
The girl did not ask for money, did not cry, only repeated the same sentence tremblingly:
“Uncle, don’t go any further, you will die.”
Arjun stood still. The little girl still stood there like a statue.
A few people gathered, whispering: “This girl is so strange, saying that the businessman will die, she must be crazy,” but some also shook their heads: “No, I think she is really scared, such a young girl talks like that, it’s strange.”
Arjun, who has always believed in reason, numbers, and plans, suddenly felt his heart pounding.
Don’t go, if you go, there will be an accident. Blood will be all over the street…
Arjun’s phone rang. The other end of the line was panicked: “Arjun, don’t go to the building. There is a gas leak, it’s about to explode. The shareholder meeting room is on fire. The police have sealed off the entire building!”
Arjun was stunned. Everything was just a few minutes away, and it was the girl standing in front of him who saved his life. But when he looked around, she had disappeared.
Driver Linh ran to look for her, but couldn’t find anyone. Arjun was stunned, rain was falling on the glass roof, but his heart was burning with gratitude. He decided to find the girl.
They went to the small park near Siddhivinayak Temple, where Linh often wandered. Under the moss-covered stone bench, an old cotton shirt and a bag of dry bread lay there. The girl was curled up, trembling, her face pale.
Arjun knelt down, took off his coat, covered her, and gently lifted her head into his arms.
“You saved me, don’t sleep, don’t close your eyes.”
The girl opened her eyes slightly, smiled: “I knew you would come back.”
They immediately took Linh to a nearby hospital. The doctor announced: she had a high viral fever for many days, was exhausted, and had severe pneumonia. If it had been a little later, she would not have been saved. Arjun agreed to pay all the expenses and take care of her wholeheartedly.
After Linh recovered, Arjun realized something strange: the girl had the ability to see the future. The dreams that foretold accidents had saved people many times. Furthermore, an old photo revealed that Linh was the daughter of Meera, who had saved Arjun’s life 15 years ago in a brawl on the streets of Mumbai.
That fateful thread connects the past and the present: Meera saved Arjun, now Linh saved him in return. Arjun adopted Linh as his daughter, cared for her, and loved her like a real family.
But fate still tested them. One time, Linh saw Arjun about to be in danger from a saboteur, she intervened in time, saving him once again. Linh is a little angel, living in the middle of bustling Mumbai but carrying within her extraordinary strength and intuition, connecting the past, present, and future of both.
