Caitlin Clark’s all-caps reaction to Pacers’ miraculous Game 1 comeback

The Indiana Pacers completed an unprecedented comeback against the New York Knicks on Wednesday, drawing a reaction from WNBA superstar – and Indiana fan – Caitlin Clark

Caitlin Clark has hailed the Indiana Pacers as “the greatest comeback” team after they overcame a 17-point deficit against the New York Knicks to win Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals.

The Pacers traveled to Madison Square Garden to kickstart their bid to reach the NBA finals and found themselves staring defeat in the face, as the Knicks held a healthy 17-point advantage with six minutes left in the fourth quarter. However, in under three minutes, the Pacers outscored the Knicks 20-6, forced overtime through Tyrese Haliburton, and eventually won.The Pacers’ comeback hasn’t only helped them set the tone for the Eastern Conference finals but also saw the team get revenge on a Haliburton fan who was hit with a trash bag in NYC after the Knicks beat the Boston Celtics and ended a 25-year drought. Clark, who knows well about heated rivalries after having a run-in with longtime foe Angel Reese recently, reacted to the fellow Indiana-based sports team’s epic comeback.

“PACERS ARE THE GREATEST COMEBACK TEAM IVE EVER SEEN,” Clark said on social media platform X. Alongside Haliburton, Aaron Nesmith also played a key role in the Pacers’ resurgence. He finished with 30 points on 8-of-9 shooting from beyond the arc.

“It’s unreal,” said Nesmith. “It’s probably the best feeling in the world for me. I love it when that basket feels like an ocean and anything you toss up, you feel like it’s going to go in. It’s so much fun.”

“I’m so proud of the resilience of this group. We’ve shown it all year,” Haliburton added. “We’ve had to win in so many different, random, unique ways and today we just kept going, kept fighting, and man, that’s fun.”

“We played a lot of games where it felt like the other team had control,” Haliburton continued. “It ain’t over until it’s over, until it hits zero. That’s a hell of a win. But I really do think there’s a lot for us to improve on.”

The Pacers know that they may have won this battle, but they’re still locked in a bitter war with the Knicks to face the Minnesota Timberwolves or the Oklahoma City Thunder in the finals. “It’s a long series,” Pacers coach Rick Carlisle said

“We’re not going to get too excited about this. We’ve got things to clean up. They got things to clean up. Game 2 is going to be another war.”

As for the Knicks, superstar Jalen Brunson was left feeling deflated following the loss in their own city. “In the playoffs, when you win, it’s the best thing ever. When you lose, it’s the worst thing ever,” Brunson said. “The best way to deal with all that is to stay level-headed and making sure we have each other’s backs.

The Knicks will lick their wounds and come back fighting for Game 2. A second defeat could allow the Pacers to seal the series on their turf by Game 4. “There’s obviously a disappointment when you fall short,” said Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau.

“We got to be ready for game two, and that’s all you look at. So, the disappointment, we’ve got to turn that into more determination.”
