Cardi B, who has Dominican roots through her father, shared a tribute on her Instagram Story. She posted a picture of the Dominican Republic with a black ribbon over it, a symbol of mourning. Though she didn’t write a caption, the image spoke volumes to her millions of followers.

Zoe Saldaña, the well-known actress who also has Dominican heritage, showed her support by reposting a heartfelt message originally shared by Cinestar Pictures, a film company. The message said, “Today, our hearts break over the tragic roof collapse at Jetset nightclub in the Dominican Republic.
