Cardi B caught wind Nicki Minaj had reportedly bought her a pricey gift basket from Petit Trésor — but, as it turns out, it never happened … TMZ has learned.

Sources with direct knowledge tell us Cardi’s team reached out to the famed WeHo baby boutique after reading a report claiming Nicki had snapped up a $5,000 basket and sent it to Cardi after hearing she’d given birth to Kulture.

We’re told Cardi’s camp called Petit — there’s only one location — looking for a tracking number for Nicki’s gift, because Cardi’s been flooded with presents. However, they were told by the store’s owner … Nicki had NOT purchased anything.

We also called the store, and an employee confirmed neither Nicki nor anyone on her team bought any items from them.

The gift basket would have been an interesting olive branch because Nicki and Cardi were beefing earlier this year — but no dice.

The good news … Cardi’s not exactly hurting for gifts or pricey baby gear.

UPDATE: And just that quick, Cardi B has taken a break from motherhood to say that the report she received a luxurious basket of gifts from Nicki Minaj to celebrate Kulture’s birth is NOT true:

Cardi B and husband Offset (born Kiari Cephus) welcomed their first child together on Tuesday, July 10 and named her Kulture Kiari Cephus. By the way, if you have any issues with the baby’s name (likely inspired by The Migos’ last two albums, Culture and Culture II), Cardi has a message for you:

Cardi and her little lady have received a lot of love from family, friends and fans. But she’s even getting some love from a previously regarded rap foe.

According to the site The Blast, Nicki Minaj sent Cardi a pretty expensive gift for both mom and baby Kulture. Sources connected to the popular L.A. children’s boutique Petit Trésor said that Nicki purchased a $5,000 gift basket soon after Cardi announced on Wednesday that she’d given birth.

The site said the basket was filled with seasonal clothing pieces, a slew of dolls and stuffed animals, as well as a sterling silver rattle. For Cardi, the basket reportedly included some luxury toiletries to help the star pamper herself.

The thoughtful gift reportedly got to Cardi at the end of the day on Wednesday.

The ladies have seemingly come a long way since Nicki teared up during an interview in April while saying that Cardi had “really, really hurt my feelings” by not showing her “genuine love.”

“That really, really hurt me because I fully supported her. And up until this recent interview she did, I had never seen her show me genuine love in an interview,” she told Zane Lowe. “And I can just imagine how many girls wish sniff they could have been on a song with Nicki Minaj. And I’m not saying that in a cocky way but like  *sniffs* Yikes. I’m saying it like, The first thing out of your mouth when someone asks you about a Nicki Minaj feature is, ‘She changed her verse…she…’ It’s because of the Nicki Minaj hate train that she felt the comfortability to address me in that manner.”

But in May, following a conversation the women had at the Met Gala, Cardi said they had finally come to an understanding.

“I never was feuding with anybody. There was a misunderstanding,” she said in an interview with Howard Stern. “I think she felt a certain type of way about something. I definitely felt a certain type of way about something. Didn’t want to ever talk about it in public because I felt like we are going to see each other again and we will talk about it. It’s always like little issues. But the thing is, it’s always little issues but fans are always going to make it into a big thing. I spoke to her in the Met Gala about it. And it’s just like, ‘See, it’s just something that needed to be talked about.’
