‘I Want It To Feel Very Personal’ – Fever Star Caitlin Clark Reveals Her Role in Latest Signature Wilson Basketball Collection

Caitlin Clark made history when she became the only basketball player since Michael Jordan to have a full basketball collection with Wilson. The Indiana Fever star signed a multi-year sponsorship deal in 2024 with Wilson, the official basketball maker for the NBA, WNBA and NCAA.

The newest line of basketballs from the brand was designed with Clark’s personality in mind, and she recently opened up about her creative role in the collection.

In an interview with USA Today, Clark talked about working with Wilson to create a product that fans could connect with, both as players and supporters.

“Whenever I do something, I want to make it the best product possible for people. But also I feel like this is an easy way for me to connect with my fans,” Clark said. “I want it to feel very personal for them, too. They can connect with me, not just by watching me on TV or coming and buying a ticket to a game.”

Clark also revealed that her favorite color is blue and that she loves pastels. She said the water and the golf course are her “happy places” — themes that inspired the “Oasis” ball, a signature design meant for both indoor and outdoor play.

While Clark continues to make headlines off the court, she’s also eyeing a return to action. The Fever star has been sidelined with a quad strain, which was expected to keep her out for at least two weeks. During that span, Indiana also took a hit when backup guard Sophie Cunningham was listed as day-to-day.

But there’s good news ahead: Clark is expected to return Thursday, June 12, against the Atlanta Dream. It’s a major boost for a team that’s building momentum with two straight wins. The Fever are currently 4-4 and sit seventh in the WNBA standings.

Clark has played four games this season, averaging 19.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 9.3 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.0 blocks per game. She opened the season with a triple-double and looked sharp before her injury. In her absence, the Fever struggled to find their rhythm offensively but have since rebounded with back-to-back wins.

Indiana takes on Brittney Griner and the Dream on the road before returning home to host the New York Liberty in a rematch. Both games are part of the Commissioner’s Cup, where the Fever are 2-0. Only time will tell if Clark’s return on Thursday can help them keep that momentum going.
