Indiana Fever superstar guard Caitlin Clark may have been sidelined for Friday’s game against the Dallas Wings, but it didn’t stop her from giving two fans the memory of a lifetime.

Hours before tip-off, the Fever announced that Caitlin Clark would be sidelined for a second straight game with a groin injury. Despite her absence, the Fever (8-8) cruised to a 94-86 road victory to get back to .500.

Obviously, Clark’s injury was a tremendous disappointment for the fans who made plans to watch her play on Thursday and Friday night.

A viral post on X/Twitter shows two young fans wearing Caitlin Clark jerseys for Friday’s game in Dallas. Even though they couldn’t see her play, Clark found a special way to give them a special memory of a lifetime that they’ll never forget:

You don’t have to be an Indiana fan to applaud Caitlin Clark for such a classy and heartwarming gesture. After all, it only took a few seconds of her time to give those fans the cherished memory that they’ll be able to talk about for years to come.

The 23-year-old Clark also missed five games earlier this season with a quad injury. The Fever lost three of those contests, but they’re still sitting comfortably in a playoff spot despite missing Clark for seven games thus far.

Through her first nine games of 2025, Clark is averaging 18.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 8.9 assists per contest.

Clark will get three more days to rest before the Fever visit the 13-2 Minnesota Lynx on Tuesday (8:00 p.m. EST). The Fever will then begin a five-game homestand against the Las Vegas Aces on Thursday, followed by a showdown with the Los Angeles Sparks on the 5th.
