It was a scorching afternoon at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport,
long queues, tired people, irritable children—everything was hushed. But suddenly—
“Hey! What is he doing?!”
A girl’s scream shook Terminal 3.
All eyes turned to check-in counter E5.
Riya Sharma, a 26-year-old marketing executive, was checking in for a flight to Jaipur.
She was wearing a light pink floral maxi dress—clean.
At the same time, lying quietly on the ground was a Golden Retriever—”Laddu,” owned by Ramnath Lal, an elderly farmer from Uttar Pradesh.
He was traveling to Canada to visit his son and daughter-in-law, and Laddu was a surprise for his granddaughter.
Laddu was calm, sweet, and fully trained.
But as Riya passed by him—
Laddu suddenly barked and jumped up, grabbed the back of her dress with his teeth and pulled it hard! Riya jumped.
“Oh my God! What is he doing?!”
People gathered in alarm,
Ramnath panicked,
Security rushed in.
But Laddu didn’t run away, nor did he let go—
he just kept pulling Riya’s skirt tightly, as if trying to stop her.
Riya trembled with anger:
“You don’t even take care of your dog? Have you gone mad?!”
Just then, the airport security officer present—Arjun Sen—stepped forward.
He bent down to look at Laddu, then stared at Riya’s bag.
Laddu didn’t bark—
he just stared at Riya’s sling bag.
Arjun said softly:
“Madam, can I check your bag?”
Riya raised her eyebrows.
But under the weight of everyone’s gaze and Ramnath’s words—
“Daughter, these are security guards. Let them check.”
Riya had to hand over the bag.

Arjun slowly opened the bag…
And after a few moments, his face hardened.
He pulled out a small package—wrapped in a floral gift wrapper.
As soon as he opened it—
A strong, raw marijuana-like smell wafted through him.
A coworker yelled:
“Sir, this is hashish/marijuana! Report it now!”
Riya’s face went pale.
She staggered to her feet:
“This… this isn’t mine… I don’t know how it got in the bag…”
20 minutes later—in the security room—Riya trembled and said:
“My boyfriend came over last night. He said this is a small gift, just deliver it to Jaipur… I didn’t even open it…”
Arjun had the package scanned—
a total of 280-300 grams of dry marijuana, hidden in coffee beans.
Arjun was surprised:
“But Laddu isn’t a trained K9… then how did he know?”
Ramnath said shyly:

“Babu, he used to live in a place in our village… where some boys used to smoke secretly. He was irritated by that smell. He would often chase them away.”
Veterinary experts were also called in—they also said:
“He’s not a fully trained sniffer, but his nose is exceptionally sensitive. Perhaps that smell triggered him.”
Arjun looked into Rhea’s eyes:
“You’re lucky this dog was here. Otherwise, you would have gone straight to jail under the NDPS Act.”
Just then, a new call came—
from Delhi Police HQ.
Rhea’s boyfriend—Karan Malhotra—turned out to be wanted in an interstate drug network.
The entire building was thrown into a panic.
11 p.m.—Karan arrested.
Police traced his location—he was hiding in a cheap hotel in Gurugram with a fake ID.
Two fake Aadhaar cards and 30 lakh rupees were recovered from the room.
Rhea was heartbroken—but she was finally safe.
The next morning: Social media exploded.
A CCTV clip went viral:
“A dog pulled a girl’s skirt—and saved her life!”
People were laughing and shocked.
#HeroDogIndia
#DogSavedGirl
started trending.
Laddu became a superstar overnight. Rhea’s statement—it made the entire country think.
In a TV interview, she said:
“The people we trust… sometimes become the biggest threat.
The dog didn’t just save my honor—it saved my life.”
Ramnath, emotionally stroking Laddu’s head, continued to wag his tail.
Laddu was just wagging his tail—
as if saying:
“I just did my nose job.”
