While Swift has moved on to another high-profile romance with NFL star Travis Kelce, some folks are still stuck in the past. From cryptic social media jabs to subtle digs, Healy’s family has made their feelings known, and it’s not exactly a love story.

It’s safe to say that Matty Healy’s family is not Team Taylor, and they haven’t been shy about expressing the same either. In a now-deleted video, the brother of 1975’s frontman, Louis Healy was asked if he would choose between The Eras Tour or The Renaissance Tour. 

The former is Taylor Swift’s record-breaking world tour, while the latter is Beyoncé’s creative vision brought to the global stage. Without any hesitation, he said, “Renaissance Tour, every day of the week.” He could have kept it at that but further hammered in his point, “I wouldn’t go to a Taylor Swift (concert), wouldn’t find me there.” This subtle dig at Swift didn’t go unnoticed and it’s quite possible that backlash from the Swifties made him remove the video.

Moreover, the fans have also posted alleged screenshots of Matty Healy’s mother-in-law engaging with the post and Louis Healy having a weird exchange with a Swiftie. The problem isn’t choosing  Beyoncé over the Shake It Off singer, but putting her down over a short-lived relationship, that should have been left in the past.

Taylor Swift started dating Matty Healy in 2023 after her split from longtime boyfriend Joe Alwyn (via Harper’s Bazaar). She had exchanged numbers with Healy after attending a 1975 concert in 2014 when the seeds of their connection were planted.

Their romance seemed short but intense as they made public appearances and studio sessions, and Swift even gave a surprise performance at one of Healy’s shows. But the relationship began to fizzle out, and by June 2023, multiple outlets had reported that the duo had called it quits.The reason was allegedly them being busy and not believing they were compatible. Swift’s new album The Tortured Poets Department is rumored to have several songs about Healy, which adds layers to their brief encounter. There wasn’t any public spat, and both of them seemed to have moved on in their lives. So it’s about time that Healy’s family takes a hint and lets go of the past as well.
