MLB Announcer Jenny Cavnar has social media going crazy for all the wrong reasons.

On Wednesday, the Houston Astros were on the road to take on the Athletics. The team is playing its home games at Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento for the 2025–2027 seasons before its planned relocation to the Las Vegas metropolitan area.

Cavnar, who is the first female primary play-by-play announcer in MLB history, was on call for this game next to her partner.

With two outs in the first inning, Astros pitcher Framber Valdez was up against right fielder Brent Rooker.

Cavnar decided to make a friendly wager that Rooker would reach base. If it happened, she would receive Dippin’ Dots.

After being told of the prize, Jenny Cavnar had a monster slip of the tongue when she said, “I’ll take some di–” before stating, “Dippin’ Dots on that.”

On the very next pitch, Rooker gets a base hit, and Cavnar goes berserk.

“Brent Rooker to right field, and it’ll bounce in front of Cam Smith, and I am getting Dippin’ Dots, baby,” she said.

“That’s what my girl says when I’m out of town,” one hilarious fan said.

“Imagine having to listen to her screech about your favorite baseball team,” a second fan stated about the announcer.

“That is f–king wild,” a third fan wrote.

“Worst announcer in baseball. Her enthusiasm seems incredibly forced and oddly timed,” a fourth fan said of Jenny Cavnar.

“And that, my friends, is how she got her job…” one final fan commented.
