Sophie Cunningham was called out for ‘flopping’ by some fans online and in attendance at the Connecticut Sun game against the Indiana Fever on Tuesday – with her posting a video showing that this does not look to be the case.

The Fever had been involved in another feisty affair with the Sun, just a few weeks after the two teams faced each other in a game that saw three players ejected, with Caitlin Clark and her rival Jacy Sheldon getting into it after th

Cunningham, Clark and her teammates were furious with the officials for the no-call, with those frustrations carrying on throughout the game.

Clark had questioned the officials on a number of plays which were not blown for a foul, with the superstar guard driving to the basket and being hacked on a few occasions.

At one point, she could not hold back as she was seen speaking to a referee before having to be held back by an assistant coach, while refusing to acknowledge another referee when they asked her to come over to speak.

Despite their frustrations, the Fever ran out as victorious in the game, with Kelsey Mitchell and Natasha Howard combining for 38 points.

While Clark added 14 points with eight rebounds and seven assists, the guard continues to struggle with her shot – making just one-of-seven from deep.

This has been the case for the 23-year-old for the past few weeks, now seeing her numbers fall to 27% from three-point range so far this season – considerably worse than the 35% she had achieved last season.

Despite her shooting becoming somewhat of an issue, Clark has suggested that she’s confident in her abilities to continue taking shots from deep.

She said: “I don’t think it’s anything mechanically wrong, it’s just basketball. The best in the world go through it. The thing I always fall back on is I know how hard I’ve worked. I’m never gonna stop shooting until I break out of it.”

The Fever will face the New York Liberty on Wednesday evening, before having a week off with the All-Star games set to get underway from Friday.
