Chicago, IL — It was supposed to be a redemption game. Instead, it turned into a full-blown humiliation for Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky, as they were absolutely dominated by Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever in what fans are calling the “revenge game of the season.”

After weeks of rising tension, physical fouls, and internet beef, the Fever let their game do the talking — and the scoreboard said it all: Indiana 91, Chicago 74.

“This wasn’t a game. This was a public execution,” one fan wrote.

But the real story? The hilarious and brutal fallout online, where Angel Reese became the internet’s favorite punching bag — again.

📉 Angel Reese Held to Season-Low Performance

Reese, who had been riding high on her defensive hustle and rebounding numbers, struggled the entire night. She finished with just 4 points and 3 rebounds, and looked visibly frustrated as Clark drained three after three and the Fever ran up the score.

Her trash talk? Gone.
Her swagger? Silent.
The memes? Relentless.

🗣️ Caitlin Clark Fans Let Loose

After weeks of seeing their favorite rookie get shoved, snubbed, and shaded, Caitlin Clark’s fans finally got the moment they’d been waiting for — and they didn’t hold back.

“Angel Reese talked all that and couldn’t even back it up. DONE.”

“Caitlin Clark just ended Angel Reese’s PR campaign with one three-pointer.”

“Angel Reese? More like Angel Regret after that performance.”

Hashtags like #ClarkCooked, #AngelFolded, and #SkyFell started trending within minutes of the final buzzer.

😬 Did the Hype Collapse?

Critics of Reese say this game proved what they’ve been claiming all along:

“She’s loud, not legendary.”
“Her energy is great for TikTok, not for winning basketball.”
“If you’re going to be the villain, at least drop 20 points.”

Even some of her former supporters admitted it was a rough night:

“I love Angel… but she got exposed tonight. No excuses.”

🤐 Angel Reese Silent Post-Game?

Unlike previous games, where Reese would post cryptic tweets or subtle jabs, her social media remained oddly quiet after the blowout.

Meanwhile, Clark simply told reporters:

“We just focused on us. The rest will take care of itself.”

Ice cold.

💭 Final Thoughts: Is Angel Reese “Done”?

Of course, one bad game doesn’t define a rookie season. But in the age of internet receipts and heated WNBA rivalries, this loss stings — and Angel Reese will need a monster bounce-back to silence the doubters.

But for now?
The Fever are feasting. Clark is cooking. And Angel Reese just got served

Angel Reese Sends Clear Message After Chicago Sky’s Blowout Loss to Indiana Fever

Angel Reese Sends Clear Message After Chicago Sky’s Blowout Loss to Indiana Fever originally appeared on Athlon Sports.

Angel Reese is not losing confidence despite the Chicago Sky’s struggles this 2025 WNBA season. She made that abundantly clear on Sunday, a day after their loss to the Caitlin Clark-less Indiana Fever.

The 23-year-old Reese struggled mightily on the offensive end against the Fever, scoring just four points on 2-of-7 shooting as Chicago was blown out, 79-52.

Reese did grab 12 rebounds and dish out two assists, but her efforts were simply not enough. The Sky played poorly as a team, with no Chicago player scoring in double digits. Their best scorers were Rebecca Allen and Kamilla Cardoso, who had eight points each.

The Sky dropped to a 2-5 record as a result, and there’s no end in sight for their on-court troubles — especially after the season-ending injury to starting point guard Courtney Vandersloot.

Despite her offensive woes and the issues the Sky are facing, though, Reese is not letting the problems bother her and affect her mentally. On Instagram, she posted a series of photos of her pregame outfit for the Fever showdown with a strong and clear message.

“I AM EXACTLY WHO I THINK I AM,” Reese wrote.

In the seven games the Sky have played so far, Angel Reese averaged 9.1 points, 12.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists. While her assist numbers are up by a bit, her scoring and rebounding are down, all while shooting an abysmal 30.9% from the field.

Last season, Reese put up 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds while shooting 39.1% overall.

Sure enough, the Sky will need Reese to recapture her old form and play more efficiently if they want to turn things around quickly. The good news is Reese has the right mindset despite their poor start to the campaign
