On the day of our wedding, Ananya thought she was the happiest woman. Her husband – Ravi – was a gentle man, worked hard, and came home quiet and quiet. But after only a few weeks, Ananya realized something was unusual.

Every night, Ravi waited for her to fall asleep, then quietly got out of bed and went to his mother’s room right next door.

At first, Ananya reassured herself that he was worried about her old and weak mother. But every night, even on cold and rainy days, he still went to sleep with her mother, leaving her curled up in the room. She asked, and he only replied:

“Mom is afraid of being alone at night.”

As Ravi left for work, Ananya prepared a mild ointment and a soft towel, then went to her mother-in-law’s room.

That night, for the first time in three years, Ravi slept soundly next to Ananya. He held his wife’s hand tightly, his eyes shining with gratitude. Ananya said softly:

Ravi became a true husband, always giving his wife warm and loving eyes. All doubts disappeared, leaving only respect and understanding. Ananya thought to herself, if she hadn’t peeked that day, perhaps she would have lived her whole life in resentment without knowing how great the man beside her really was.
