Cardi B – a female rapper famous for her explosive style and hit songs – recently caused a stir on social networks when she shared about the little-known hardships behind the spotlight: financial burden and the pressure of being a “big boss”.

In a livestream that went viral on various platforms, Cardi B confided that she felt overwhelmed when having to pay regular salaries to eight people in her personal team every month. This list includes a personal assistant, stylist, makeup artist, driver, security guard and many other positions. The female rapper’s tone clearly showed her fatigue when she said that she did not want to be a CEO, she just wanted to be an artist.

Although known for her lavish lifestyle, designer clothes and eye-catching performances, Cardi’s shared words surprised many people. Because behind that gorgeous image is the heavy responsibility of operating an entire machine that supports her personal career.

Many fans have expressed sympathy, saying that this is a realistic aspect of the profession that many great artists have to face. However, there are also mixed opinions when a group of netizens think that Cardi’s problem is “luxurious” compared to the lives of ordinary people.

However, it cannot be denied that Cardi B is still mastering the game in her own way. Being a boss is tiring, but with her strong personality and character, the female rapper is still maintaining her position in the entertainment industry and constantly stirring up social networks with her frank and honest statements.

It can be seen that behind the powerful appearance and the music that stirs the stage is a woman who is also struggling with work, responsibility and pressure like everyone else. But with Cardi B, she always faces everything boldly and is never afraid to speak the truth.

Cardi B Says She Spends $3 Million a Month as She Hits Back at Brand Deal Criticism

Cardi B wants to make one thing clear — she’s not strapped for cash!

After some followers accused the rapper, 32, of taking brand deals to pay the bills, Cardi B was determined to set the record straight in a voice recording posted via X on Tuesday, December 3.

“People say that I’m surviving off Shein deals and brand deals — wait, hold on,” she said in the  voice recording. “I want to let y’all know I could wake up tomorrow and sign a contract and I’d have half of $65 million — or half of $70 million — in my bank.”

The “WAP” artist added that she regularly shells out big bucks to support her lavish lifestyle.

“I spent, like, about $3 million in a month,” Cardi B added.

The rapper claimed that 2024 is her “off year” when it comes to music deals, adding that she is purposely holding off signing a tour deal until her next album release in order to secure a larger payout.

“You can’t act like you’re hungry, especially when you’re not,” Cardi B explained.

She suggested she could make $1 million per show or $65 million in total when she finally did choose to put pen to paper on a deal with “half the money upfront upon signing the contract.”

It’s been six years since Cardi B released her album Invasion of Privacy, so fans are waiting with bated breath for a collection of new music.

“I just be feeling like I don’t be liking anything. I feel like I got so many songs. I just don’t like nothing. Like, nothing is good enough. I got so much f–king money saved up, I be like, ‘Yeah, whatever the f—,’” she said via an Instagram Live in December 2022. “Making music to me has become like a job that gives me anxiety because everybody just critiques everything that I do.”

During the same Instagram Live, Cardi B touched on how becoming a mother has also contributed to her hesitation when it comes to creating and releasing another album. (She and ex Offset welcomed their daughter, Kulture Kiari, in July 2018 and their son, Wave Set, in September 2021.)

“I feel like I have gotten too comfortable because, you know — I’m just a mom, and I do have anxiety,” she said. “I’ve been having a lot of anxiety because I know right after I drop my album, I have to go out on tour, and I have bad separation anxiety from my kids.
