The wrestling world is mourning the loss of WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan (real name Terry Bollea), who died of cardiac arrest in Clearwater, Florida, on Thursday.
TMZ was first to break the heartbreaking news of Hulk Hogan’s untimely passing this morning. Medical personnel were dispatched to his home and spent 30 minutes attempting to revive Hogan, but he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
After Hogan’s passing, TMZ released the audio of the 911 dispatch call from the Pinellas County Fire and EMS to Hogan’s arrest. The brief 15-second phone call can be heard below:
Hulk Hogan’s post-wrestling health issues were well-documented leading up to his passing, but there was nothing to indicate that he was dealing with anything life-threatening. Hogan told Logan Paul last year that he had about 25 surgeries alone in the past decade, including 10 back procedures and both hips and knees replaced.
Radio personality Bubba the Love Sponge (real name Todd Clem) made headlines last month when he claimed that Hogan was on his deathbed. Clem stated that Hogan’s family members were told to visit and prepare to say their goodbyes to him, but the rumor was shut downHogan is survived by children Brooke and Nick and his third wife, Sky Daily. Hogan was previously married to Linda Claridge (1983 to 2009, with whom he had Brooke and Nick) and Jennifer McDaniel (2010 to 2021).
Our thoughts and prayers are with Hulk Hogan’s family and friends during this difficult time.

If not for Hogan, the WWF (now WWE) wouldn’t have enjoyed the history-altering boom in the 1980s. Vince McMahon handpicked Hogan to be the company’s top star, and he made the very most of the opportunity.
Not only did he make WWE the global phenomenon it is today, but Hogan also helped put the now-defunct WCW promotion on the map when he performed the legendary heel turn at the 1996 Bash at the Beach pay-per-view. If not for the “Monday Night Wars” between WCW and WWE, we might not have seen other legends like The Rock and ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin.
