What’s going on, guys? This your boy John Liquid coming back with another video. And Indiana Fever fall short, but Lexi Hall came up big, guys. For this one here, we got to go all the way up to Minnesota. Let’s get it. Let’s go. [Music] Well, the Indiana Fever is a team loss, but if you’re going on individual accolades, I got to tell you, Lexi Hall came up major, man.

She put up like 10 points in the first quarter and she played arguably her best game of the season. She dominated on in the basketball court offensively, defensively. Lexi Hall looked great. And one thing that I will say positive in this one is that we all know this was Lexi Hall year to get her back and I’m hoping that she get her back with or without the fever.

the way she has been playing and showing up this year, even like rolling her ankle at times, coming up just in major ways when we need her to be simply remarkable. And she’s pretty much the last flight hero we got on the team next to Kelsey Mitchell, but you know, it is what it is. Um, to me, all of this debate, people saying, you know, Kelsey better than Caitlyn and all that, if Kel if Kelsey is able to guide them through the playoffs, um, guide them to the playoffs, we need to say that to the damn playoffs, then, you know, you could kind of have an argument

there, but as of right now, I don’t know. I don’t know if Kelsey got enough gas in the tank, you know, to make it throughout the end of the season because, uh, yeah, they they lost another one. And let’s not forget to mention Odyssey Sims went down hard as well, guys. It is what it is, man. Stephanie White was out coached.

Now, the Fever did put up a good first couple quarters, but you know, the I mean, the Minnesota Link is just too big of a juggernaut, bro. Too big of a juggernaut. I picked them to lose this game. Uh they did a lot better than I thought they would ever do. So, I’mma give them credit. You know, they get a for effort, but overall, it’s what everybody predicted.

um 85 I mean 95 to 90 ultimate score and before we get into you know the storylines of the game we got to go over the score as normal. So as as you guys see here um yeah bro it is what it is you know uh Jessica Shepard bought she had uh 22 points. Kyla McBride put on a master class. She had uh six assists, 29 points and two rebounds.

Natasha Hidleman 17 points and just overall man you see like they’re they hold team bald you know what I’m saying and that’s what you want to see you know that’s why they sitting in number one seed they mesh good together and uh yeah they definitely got some get back for that commissioner cups but as you guys can see here Leah Boston 15 points she showed up too uh six rebounds two assists like I stated Lexi Hall 23 points four rebounds and two assists she played a whopping 38 damn minutes.

Lexi Hall played almost the entire game, guys. Lexi Hall balled out. Shout out to Lexi. Shout out to Mama Lexi. And shout out to her whole family, man. She definitely deserve to get her money, bro. I just can’t even lie about that. Um Kelsey Mitchell 275 and O play 35 minutes. But uh the uh storyline is going to be Odyssey Sim. So, let’s uh pull this up real quick.

Shout out to Tony East, man. It’s the only reporter I’m trusting right now. Uh the Fever challenged a defensive foul on Lexi Hall. Uh that was in the fourth quarter, I believe. No, third quarter. Fever was down 13 after three quarters with the 3217. Uh third quarter guiding the league to the lead.

82 links points is the story. Fever can’t stop. Uh the Lynx was shooting 66% on Tuesday, including 12 of 14 at the right basket. Same issues all night for the Fever. can’t protect the rim. Like what’s crazy is that we still got our bigs, bro. Um yeah, the fever at halftime over it was 52 to 50. I sink that much.

Um I thought they had a chance of winning ahead halftime. Excuse me guys, I am really tired going into the halftime. It’s unfortunately they just did not have enough gas to pull it off. Um like I stated, Odyssey Sam went down. She’s hurt. So, we got to get another damn hardship player. And it’s another player on it on the injury board.

So, this is it right here. Looks like she tweaked something. Um, Whistles going in for a shot. Watch directly to the locker room after next stoppage, man. So, that was Odyssey Sim there, bro. This is the play here where it all went down where she got hurt. And uh yeah, man. I just look at her. Look at her walking away.

He instantly walks off the courts. Odyssey Sims went back to the locker room briefly uh looked to limp off the floor and just as we seen there instantly went back to locker room. Now Stephanie White did speak to the media man. Let’s check out what she had to say. Let’s uh get that footage pulled up. Shout out to the homeboy Tony East.

Oh man, I might have to look into collabing with him. Bro, he’s big guy. He don’t never say nothing. Straightforward. I forget who he work for, but he’s solid. pretty solid dude, man. Let’s pull up this press conference here real quick because I’m interested to see what Stephanie White has to say about all of this defensively being a key.

What did you see as the struggles on that end of the floor early this game? Yeah, I think um you know those two runs that they had into the second beginning of the third turnover for scores part of it. Um you can’t set your defense with that. You know, letting letting players get to their strength. Um you can’t lose Kayla McBride.

She’s one of the most prolific three-point shooters in league history. Um, you know, we just uh we had we had moments um where we had some breakdowns in personality and and it hurts us. I mean, you know, they’re the best team in the league right now for a reason. Um and they make you pay when you when you have those mistakes. What do you know about Odyssey after I think she left the game and didn’t return? Is she injured? What’s up with that? Yeah, we don’t know anything yet.

Um she’s going to get evaluated tomorrow, so we’ll see. With regards to Odyssey, do you have any ideas of what it was she tweeted? Was it a groin or I have no idea. I just heard her say I knew so and so I I got Shay up there. Lexi Hall tonight career high for her. Just especially affected there early on. What were you seeing from her performance? She was aggressive.

I mean, she was hunting shots. Um she was aggressive to the rim. you know, she she knew we needed we needed another score on the floor and um because of the attention that that Kelsey and and AB get um she was she was getting free and she was hunting shots and that’s what we’re going to need from her. What do you see the spot score that you like? Um I like our 24 assists on 34 made field goals.

You know, I think we were we were high assist to made field goal ratio in the first half. What was it? 15 to 18. thought it was really good. Um, you know, I like that we had, you know, four players in double figures. Um, that we made 13 threes. Um, I like that. Um, you know, and that I don’t see on the stat sheet, I mean, guys, like our our players bust their ass like they battle every single game.

Uh, and and you know, they just it’s a couple minutes here and there. you got to play a 40-minute game, but this is a special group of women, man. What they with what they’ve been going through and everything that they’ve that they’ve had to continue to overcome and to put ourselves in position, you know, could have been really easy to fold in that third quarter when they broke it open to put ourselves in position, you know, to come back to compete to win a ball game.

I mean, it’s it’s no matter what uh it happens, win or lose, the the the roots that this group is forming culturally, uh the roots that they’re forming in terms of competitive spirit and and what it means to to to compete at this level, I mean, those are those are what allow us to withstand these storms.

And, you know, the the numbers tell a story. Um but, you know, their their hearts and their character tell another one. Yeah. Just Kelsey mentioned, you know, the LS that you obviously mentioned just now and how you guys want to make those calls obviously not as bad. Just what can the team do on the floor? What can you guys as coaching staff do in the moment kind of break those up? Yeah, I mean some of it’s timeouts.

Um some of it’s um substitution matchups, although we’re we’re we don’t have a lot of those. Um and some of it’s just attention to detail. I mean, championship teams, their attention to detail throughout the course of 40 minutes is is is there for the most part. Um, and we’re we’re learning how to do that.

Uh, with a with a group that um, you know, doesn’t hasn’t had a ton of experience. I mean, to get together, especially um, you know, you look at TSH and her her experience certainly and the experience that that Lexi AB and and Kel Scott last year. Um, and we’re doing it with two new point guards. So, I mean, there’s cohesiveness.

Um, there’s Shay and Odyssey have have now well, Shay’s been in one practice. Odyssey’s been in two practices, three practices to learn our defensive system and kind of how we play some things. Um, so, you know, we’ve got to give some grace to where we are. Um, but also understand the the that that’s what it takes to to win against these kinds of teams.

s made knocked down her first three shots and you leaned on her for 22 minutes. What’ you make of her early um early assignments so far? Yeah, I mean I I loved how she came out and shot the ball. Um you know, we needed those, you know, and that’s what we’re going to have to do. And she’s big. She got gassed.

Um you know, you you could you could tell that um you know, between her and O who they’ve been training, but training is not playing. and, you know, being in a situation where you got to play heavy minutes. Um, you know, I like that that she was um aggressive offensively, she knocked down some shots um and and she got the ball moving for us.

Kelsey was appreciative of those t-shirts. Is that kind of just representative of kind of that message you were just having about this culture and laying those ground roots for what’s to come? Yeah, for sure. And Kelsey’s been carrying us, man. I mean, she’s, you know, it’s you look at numbers and her numbers have been incredible all season long.

Um, she’s She’s been incredible all season long and then when we’ve needed her most, um, she’s stepped up and been even better. And, you know, you think about there’s a a lot of great MVP candidates out there. Um, but Kelsey Mitchell should certainly be in the conversation.
