VIDEO: Chicago Sky HC Tyler Marsh Nearly Punched The Living Daylights Out  Of A Ref & Was Ejected In Crazy Scene

Chicago Sky head coach Tyler Marsh was ejected during the second quarter of Saturday’s home game against the Connecticut Sun after nearly accidentally knocking out a referee.

Tyler Marsh became furious after a controversial non-call after Elizabeth Williams missed an eight-foot shot. Connecticut forward Aaliyah Edwards appeared to have gotten away with a foul on the play, leading to a furious response from Marsh.

After the non-call, Marsh ran toward the referee and punched the air, narrowly making contact with him. The official wasted no time ejecting Marsh, who had to be held back by Angel Reese and his assistants:

The Sun went on to win 94-84, putting another dagger in Chicago’s playoff hopes. Per ESPN, Connecticut shot an impressive 51.5 percent from the field and made 8-of-20 three-point attempts.

Tyler Marsh Is Having A Tough First Season As Sky Head Coach

Now at 9-27, the Sky sit nine games out of the final playoff spot. Knowing that Saturday was an absolute must-win to keep their slim hopes alive, it’s no surprise that Marsh’s frustrations boiled over.
