Michael Lewis — the 55-year-old man accused of stalking and harassing Caitlin — was sentenced to 2.5 years behind bars.

A native of Denton, Texas, Lewis was arrested at a hotel and has been charged with a Level 5 felony after sending the Indiana Fever guard a series of disturbing messages.

The Texas-native never wavered in his guilt, as displayed in January when he had multiple outbursts during his first appearance in court and shouted out that he was “guilty as charged.”

TMZ is now dropping damning bodycam footage of the FBI approaching Lewis. He told them he had nothing more than “an imaginary relationship” with her – just days before his arrest – according to newly released police bodycam footage.

The video was recorded outside an Indianapolis hotel room on January 8, where authorities confronted Michael Lewis after he displayed disturbing online activity on social media towards Caitlin Clark for weeks

Surrounded by FBI agents and Indianapolis police, Lewis insisted he was in town on vacation. He even allowed officers to search his room, pointing out he had no weapons or dangerous materials.

“It’s just an imaginary relationship,” Lewis said on camera about Caitlin Clark. “It doesn’t involve any threats. Just a play fun thing.”

Despite repeated warnings to stop posting about Clark, Lewis continued his behavior.

On January 12, he was arrested and charged with felony stalking and misdemeanor harassment, according to the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office. Soon, the world would know how he looked once his mugshot was released.

In addition to time in a cell, Lewis was ordered to avoid contact with Clark and to stay away from Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Hinkle Fieldhouse, Indiana Fever Events, and Pacers Organization Events.

Prosecutors said Clark gave her approval of the plea agreement.

In the meantime, Clark has missed over 20 games in the 2025 season due to a series of injuries.

The Fever have lost guards Sydney Colson, Aari McDonald, and Sophie Cunningham for the year to season-ending injuries, leaving many fans wondering when Caitlin Clark will return to the court after her extended absence.

Clark is set to miss her 14th consecutive game due to a right groin injury when the Fever takes on the Minnesota Lynx.

There’s no official timetable for Clark’s return
